The Department of Samskrta is always known for conducting various unique programs for decades. It always strives to propagate our ancient culture and wisdom amongst the student community through various activities. "Guest Lecture" is a part of our curriculum where students get an opportunity to cherish the speech of reputed scholars and could gel with the speaker by having interaction. Such program was held by the Department of Samskrta for the academic year 2020-2021 for I B.Com. students on their text "Janakiharanam of Kumaradasa" by the renowned Sanskrit scholar Dr. S N Pranesh on 11 January 2021. Students attended this session in both ways Online and Offline mode with the same zeal and enthusiasm.

Prof. Mahesh KM, Principal of SBMJEC welcomed the guest and Dr. Suneel K S, Department Head of Sanskrit. The speaker emphasized the plot especially explained the relevance of Sramana kumara in the plot. Many astonishing facts were revealed by the speaker whereas our students were amazed to get to know about the facets of classical poetry. One-hour long discourse went on with many anecdotes that threw light on the original plot of Ramayana. Overall, the discourse was fruitful and beneficial for the students.
